His face is painted in a crossing pattern of black and white so that his black-sculpted-pointy goatee dives away from his chin. His trained eyes are obsessed, determined, menacing. Dangling from his neck are chains adorned with human skulls. With the help of 12-inch platform boots and a skull covered top hat, he towers well above seven feet. In a deep, booming voice he joins the chorus of ten thousand crazies: “Raiders! Raiders! Raiders! …”. This is the Black Hole at the Oakland Coliseum.

This is the Raider Nation.

The Oakland Raiders have some of the most notorious fans in the history of the NFL. When my good friend Dave let me know he was coming to town to watch the Buffalo Bills vs. the Oakland Radiers on Sunday December 21, 2014, I thought it would be a great opportunity to make some photos. The following is a collection of images from that story. The Raiders beat the Bills in a close game, 26-24.
